Blockchain Gas Fees
Staging / Testnet
There are no gas fees or costs associated with the testing and staging environments. We currently use the Rinkeby Testnet for Ethereum transactions such as creating Wallets, Tokens, or Collections. You can play around and test the APIs or your integration safely in the staging environments without incurring any gas costs.
Production / Ethereum Mainnet
When your production account is set up and ready to go, you will be responsible for all Ethereum gas fees and costs associated with your account. The easiest way to do this is to contact us or you can also deposit ETH directly into your account's dispatcher addresses. The dispatchers are responsible for actually creating the blockchain transactions, so the gas fees will be deducted directly from there. Please contact us for details on how to get this all set up. We can also help set this part up for you if you do not have easy access to ETH or are unsure about how to do this.
Please note that gas costs and fees are unpredictable. If you would like to set up specific maximum values, please let us know. Otherwise, please take a look at ETH Gas Station or other sources to find out what the current gas costs look like before executing transactions on Ethereum Mainnet. Once a transaction is executed, we cannot help recover any spent gas fees.
Production / Polygon Mainnet
We will initially cover all the gas fees when using Polygon/MATIC in production, unless your project exceeds our gas limits. If that does happen, we will be sure to reach out to you first. This layer 2 technology greatly reduces the costs associated with deploying smart contracts and minting NFTs. However, the NFTs will exist only on Polygon and not on Ethereum. Polygon is also widely supported among marketplaces, apps, and wallets.
